TV Shows I am enjoying …and Movies

It killed me when I learned that the actress that played Max was Nora West-Allen (The Flash's daughter Barry Allen) so the nude scenes with her were like... NOOOOOOOO

What a duplicitous bitch she was in Black Sails... But a dog eat dog world and she got hers.
In an act of sincere protest, I must insist any attempt that woman ever makes to be naked should be highly encouraged.

IT'S STAR WARS DAY!!!
May the 4th be with you. :Port

I know it's old, but just watched 'Shaun the Sheep Movie' for the first time; it's currently on HBO Max. It usually takes sharp, whitty comedy to get me to laugh, but this movie had me chuckling more than not.

Backstabbing for Beginners (Netflix)
I think I saw this. The problem is that I think there is another movie about that program on NF as well, so I may be mixing them up.

I think I have 2 more episodes of Beast In Me, which has been pretty good. Psychological thriller.

I have a couple more episodes to go with Man On Fire as well.

If you've seen the Tony Scott/Denzel Washington movie, about the only similarities are the name of the lead character. This one is taking place in Rio, and the city has been put on display quite nicely.

It's not a heavy action show.

finally watched Silver Dream Racer last week.

can’t believe I’d never seen it before. another example of the many ways in which ima inadequate motorcycle person ... :facepalm :laughing

(anyway, feeling like my moto education took a step forward, thanks to the movie—got to learn about Barton Motors, and the trivia that Eric Buell used one of their engines in one of his first race bikes. :ride )

David Essex forever!! :hail

Did you get the full ending or the “freeze frame” version?

Remarkably Bright Creatures…
Sally Field and an octopus. Just came out on Netflix. pretty darn good.
I really enjoyed this movie. First movie in a long time that my wife actually watched without picking up her phone.

full ending …. :facepalm

we were watching it at a movie night at the motorcycle club, and we all groaned at the ending … as a child of the ‘70s, where it seemed as if all movies liked to end in a similar fashion, you’d think I’d have been better prepared. :laughing

One more episode of The Boys coming Wednesday. I think that will be it for the show and any remaining story lines will be picked up on the next season of Gen V.

The last superhero thing I watched was a Spiderman movie maybe 20 years ago.

Don't do much for me to be honest.
I think maybe this opinion is why a lot of people who aren't really superhero fans before or ever like The Boys because the show takes a shit on almost ever common superhero trope.

But you like what you like. A lot of my friends are into romantic comedies and 9 times out of 10 those kinda movies don't do anything for me.

Not into Romcoms at all.

I do like science fiction and, of course, some of them are just Westerns in space.

8 total? I think we're at #5 (done).
