Post / Chat whores post here (2026)

My wife and her sisters had a commercial property and while the rent was good, the tenant was an asshole and at their ages wanted to be rid of the hassle.

A misogynist to boot.

The new owners are in a position not to put up with his BS and to top if off are feminists! :laughing

Doctor called up, a bit out of the side. Looks like the podiatrist recommended him that I need crutches.

. Great.

WTF is wrong with these people and their delay and indecisiveness

sigh. I think a disabled placard (temporary) might've helped me every day on every drop off, twice, but it looks like I have to fill out a form on paper, THEN go to the doctor, THEN send it , THEN wait 3-5 days , THEN they will look at it, then maybe approve and mail it and THEN.

so I'm kinda giving up. no less b/c the next doctor appointment is in 10 days?!? huh. but I need it until then. Well I guess I'll have to do without.
One of my coworkers got his on the same day because he (his wife) did a walk-in to AAA and they processed it right away

I am a card carrying challenged American OG with disabilities at this point.
They just gave up 20 years ago and just send me a new one every 3 years.

I believe it was from all the repeat injuries over the years and then when the knee was replaced after a big back crap thing they just accepted I was going to be screwed up forever. :laughing

Same.
Iirc, I took the doctor note to dmv and got the placard the same day... but that was at least 20 years ago, so the process may have changed.

I have tried to be respectful with using it. Don't if I don't need too to save the spot for real OG.
However for work it is wonderful because those corporations have so many spots I am doing the general public a favor by using one of the blue ones and saving regular spots for their employees and guests.

the other day, security at my company asked someone why were they parking in the disabled parking (they had the tag) because they dont "look" disabled

That's lawsuit stuff, right there.
Some of my vets with combat PTSD wear shirts that say "Not all wounds are visible"
True words.

I've had that conversation a few times. My go-to response is "Well, you don't "look" like a doctor."
I've got plenty of things to feel guilty about... parking in a HC spot doesn't even make the top 10. :laughing

I guess I can go to the AAA office then.

As long as the doctor or whatever ensemble of students and upper doctors they have there , signs the paper.

Haven't we all done that. "Someone does not look"

.. well one case I saw personally, was when a limo was waiting in a disabled parking spot in the Financial district. Then he got a call and he just removed his disabled placard off the mirror.. and started driving.. No idea if he was disabled.. but now..that did look fishy. Maybe he was just ashamed to drive for work, while disabled.

Pardon the brief threadjack, but this comes immediately to mind.
I have a sticker on the back window of my truck that says "Be the person your dog thinks you are."
Recently I accidently cut off a woman in a BMW. She felt the need to scold me at the next stop light. She decided to use my sticker against me.
She said "So what happened to being the person your dog thinks you are??"
I just glared at her and said "Sometimes my dog thinks I'm an asshole."

I know a few people who look just fine but can only walk a bit whether back, fused ankle etc.

You never know.
Or my G/F with Congestive Heart Failure.
She looks fantastic!
But she gets winded after a very, very short stroll.

My crutches, wheelchair, and boot solved that issue when I had a handicapable parking permit. I was so grateful for it. I am glad those days are over meow, though.

Well I have crutches right now, but no disabled placard 🪧 WTF..something is wrong.

:rolleyes basically the doctor didn't really know. By now I used Kaiser's website to "request release of records" -- which IMO is a funny wording for a .. "placard". We'll see if it works...

That's probably the way to do it RN. Because I have one message for it and I think nursing assistant that also said the same just now. (Unless they all don't know the correct way)
