Trey is suffering at work. I have the house to myself. Cleaning and organizing my quarters.
 
without even standing up and working on bikes, my waist/back hurts.

It's worrying me a little ; happened since the morning, I get up to stretch , and when I turn around, I suddenly can't move...

... It is continuing a little bit this evening, sooooo I dunno :dunno

My back used to be bad. Sometimes I couldn’t even get out of bed so I had my wife bring me a bucket from the garage so I could piss in it.

Eventually my back healed but I had to change how I moved and what I did. For instance, one thing I stopped doing was carrying a load and twisting my spine at the same time. I now carry a load (lighter loads now) and use my feet to turn and face another direction keeping my shoulders parallel with my hips.

So, my chili verde story, thank you beautiful lady, the late Maria Nunez. My late brother in law's mother made my favorite Chile verde. She never wrote down recipes of course. The standing joke was "Maria, Kenny is visiting and needs Chile verde". On one of Dave's January birthdays in Lodi, I walked into a cold house, he was eating Chile verde, and his balls were sweating off. It was off the charts hot. She was an awesome cook. RIP dear lady.

My widowed friend in Salinas, whom I often mention on BARF, has a friend now (thank goodness) who babysits her grandson from time to time. She too is of Mexican descent, and does not write down recipes. Hopefully she (Esmeralda) will tolerate me looking over her shoulder one day, taking notes. I am doing some handyman work for her as well, and I hope to learn some good recipes from her. Perhaps I am too hopeful.

I did make a good facsimile that satisfied me a couple of years back, whilst trying to make a good green salsa.
 
In the mid 80s the Los Banos CDF station grew a lot of Serrano chilis, they put them in everything, they even made ice cream with them.
 
Oh my god. The cobbler festival sold out of cobbler by 2:30 p.m. We had made so much of the stuff that I was sure there was going to be leftovers. Nope. The festival ran until 6:00 and I hope the vendors did well.
 
I got the call, I gotta' go. . . . I have purpose in my retired life again.

My friend with not one, but TWO V-twins, an RC 51 and an Aprilia, politely requested my assistance in making them both road worthy again, now that his injuries are almost healed.

It's great! Packing tools, putting gear together, checking the car (125 mile trip) remembering the rides back in the day. Remembering his shock when I disconnected the blue wire on the Aprilia and unlocked the extra horsepower.

I know he's going to dangle that Honda in front of me again, so tempting. . . .

Sundays are always a mix for me. Looking ahead at a work week sucks but the day often offers some good times.

Hope today is one of those!!

Starting by double checking my front tire to make sure it still has another 800 miles.
 
Marinated the chicken in jerk sauce last night. Going to barbeque it up today. For some reason, the scotch bonnet peppers don't seem to be that hot. So it will be a mild jerk. Maybe Jamaican Boor chicken.
 
Should get up and make coffee. Backs less angry this morning but I'm sure it'll be throbbing by then end of the workday today. Oh well, we don't have enough people on Sunday for anyone to call out.
 
Yeah just got up. I already can’t wait until the awesome taste of my milky drink coffee. But I also want to gum out and buy breakfast…muffins and stuff.
