Still just a bit over 2 months to 2027 opener at A1. We do have Bercy (Paris) Supercross 11/21-22, which historically has a few of our top guys.

In the interim, just read Sexton and Kawasaki split ways. No news on where he will land, and there arent any top tier seats open unless a third bike in the rig is added. I don't see Honda doing it, and can't believe Star Yamaha or KTM would take him on. Maybe one of the satalite Husqvarna teams with factory support, ie Team Tedder with Cooper Webb? No way he rides Ducati or Triumph, or does he?

Pretty sure you have to be over 30 to know how to use a kickstart lever, and the old folks home at Suzuki is full with Roczen, Anderson, and Bam Bam. :laughing

Is the Kawasaki and the team that bad? Or is it a matter of a rider just not happy, and cannot be made happy? To a much lesser extent, brings the memory of the man Roger D telling Dungy publicly the year he was struggling that he needed to ride around any percieved issue. Its what he's got or something to that nature (and Ryan did as champions do. :thumbup)

And I thought Sexton was on with the green.

The Daduki Old folks home, where kick starters go to die. :laughing

LOL DADuki. :laughing :applause:thumbup

This is big news, riders leave, even break contracts. But to do so, so late in the year without another ride in hand, and no real big seats open is relatively unprecidented to my recollection.

Of course the very recent demise or meltdown of the World Supercross Series, does throw a few wrenchs in the air. Cooper Webb, Jason Anderson, Joey Savatgy, and of course Ken Roczen were the big names expected to compete full time over there. It directly led the Quadlock Honda and Savatgy split, as Quadlock no longer had the money from WSX to pay for Joey.

It's one thing for a team to be willing to field a third bike, its another to have or find the money to do so with a finate pool of sponsership money (unless Sexton is travelling with a couple of big dollar backers in his pocket.) The WSX demise only makes that pool tighter I suspect.

Everything I read, had linked Savatgy to the Troy Lee Ducati squad next to RJ Hampshire. This is the only known spot, with factory money behind it. BUT does Sexton, who is known to be struggling with set up and comfort, go to the the bike that admittingly has the narrowest window for set up? This seams like the least likely spot for success to me. :dunno

Off season, so this is certainly providing some entertainment and feeding the rumor mill for me.

My SFMCJohn nickel bet has no sure landing......

Maybe he just said F Kawasaki and will look for a pinch hitter roll??

I thought Joey / Ducati was a done deal. They way he rode this year he deserved it IMO.

I think Star got both of Townley's sons. The younger, Jagger on the Star Amateur program. I'll see if I can find the interview from a month or two back with Ben, their father speaking about their path. Speaks very highly of the european amateur system that emphasizes racing more than the club training facility experience we have in the US. He took both of his sons to Europe for two seasons for this reason.

2027 is shaping up good! :applause :thumbup

Can't wait for the Sexton ride to shake out and hear where he goes. Supposedly from the rumor mill on podcasts, Suzuki might not be as far fetched as I thought. :dunno

It should definitely be interesting to see where Sexton lands and how it all shakes out! Chase's negotiations with HEP could be the hang up with the current SX champ KR94's resigning with the Suzuki. All this focus on the #4 could play into the Honda boys ... quietly getting their boot camp training in! Both Jet (if totally recovered) and Hunter should be ready to attack the SX season full throttle. Cooper Web should be spicy on his new Husq, but he is getting old(ish). Sad to say, but where Chase lands could have a fairly big impact on how the '27 SX season goes!
