Fucking diesel is over 7 bucks everywhere.

My Dad when he retired from Pacific Telephone after 29 years of service...
It was the year before the big breakup...They said...You're retiring next year...

I was surprised at the end there...He was making less than $20 an hour...
But the stock options...fuck...He's been gone 10 years now...
Mom just finished a 5 month South Pacific cruise...not Tom...
Also...She's already done TWO World cruises...8 months around the globe...Those were like 60-70 K each...
Also, also...She has to maintain her pad while she's gone...almost 6 K there...every month...SIX grand...I only make 1200 a month...
She never worked...So...This is all Dad's money...She's spent easily a quarter mil on cruises...
But...When Dad died I got the van.

I got a heads up from my supplier this week that they'll be allocating product. He said don't wait until the tank is low to order more.

If memory serves me correctly, a farmer at Capay told me years ago they’re all shelled in China. I don’t know if that person was speaking the gospel truth but if there’s a boatload of transport involved in their processing that would make sense.

Just checked the bag and says “product of USA”.
Doesn’t say grown in USA so now ya got me concerned.

The nuts could have been grown here but processed there.

Also Turkish pistachios are my favorite for reasons.
 
Cashews don’t grow here commercially. Usually from India, Vietnam and Cotê d’Ivoire. Shell are extremely allergic, made into brake pads eventually. Processors have a 3 week trial to work and see if they have allergy to them. Knew someone who worked in one of those factories here. My kiddo brought me some from Benin, yum.

I’ve been eating those things daily for years, they’re delicious. Didn’t want to find out they’re being grown in a field in China and fertilized with antifreeze or nuclear runoff.

But probably not a good idea to eat anything daily for years without giving it a break occasionally.
