Big weekend for Bobby Fong. I will be all in to see Fonger roll on towards the Championship.

Bobby has the point with a 17 point lead over Cam and really only Herrin is the other racer that has a shot at him.

There are 125 points still on the board, with 50 of them up for grabs this weekend and 75 points more at the season ending tripleheader at New Jersey Motorsports Park at the end of the month.

Bobby has stormed to the point while Herrin as fallen out of battle during the three-race stretch scoring just 11 points while Fong scored 66 points and Beaubier scored 49 points. Fong is on a roll. My fingers are going to be arthritically crossed by the time the season is over. :laughing

Last year COTA had three Superbike races, with one on Saturday and two on Sunday. Cam won race one and three and finished second in race two to SDK. Herrin was pretty strong and no doubt he will be wringing the Duc's neck looking to close down the Championship Standings.

We also have the Motivation Supersport races and that Championship is not a given. Baggers will be back to COTA too.
Superstock will provide some locals a chance to find glory in the Texas sunshine. Talent Cup will be on track as well.

Scholtzy has a 7 point margin over PJ so the Supersport Championship is still very much on.

Andrew Lee has a decent gap over my favorite Superstock Fire Dude Uribe so he just needs to not blow it really.

Di Mario is likely going to continue his run in Talent Cup. Really it would only be a disaster that can stop him.

In Baggers.. forget about it. Kyle Wyman leads by 97 points and is leaving the 3 Indian boys to decide who will take second.
Just 16 points separate Baz, Herfoss and O'hara.

Super excited for this weekend! Go Bobby! In SSP I'm pulling for Mathew and I hope his buddy Cam Petersen can continue his strong run of form.

Big drama for Benjamin Smith and his team, they have had a string of technical difficulties all season long, resulting in numerous missed sessions and making it hard to gain momentum. After another potentially catastrophic tech issue at the last race there was a breakup, so Ben and the main sponsor Flo4Law will be parting ways with Superbike Unlimited and teaming up with Aussie Dave Racing to put the proven ex Gagne/Fong R1 back on the track. Best of luck to all involved, Ben certainly has shown great potential and I hope he gets to show it in the last couple races.

I saw for myself how much trouble they were having at Ridge and Laguna, but after the latest news I went back and watched their excellent and revealing video series to get the whole story. Oooof! Man, racing is really hard, superbike racing is super duper extremely hard, if you wanna see just how hard, watch this series! Kudos to Freddy for putting these out, including all the struggles, man you gotta have big passion (plus a big budget) to keep going through all this stuff.

Meanwhile the Superbike Unlimited guys will continue with Aussie Max Stauffer who recently parted ways with his ASBK Yamaha team.

Also super stoked to see Mighty Mouse Stefano Mesa getting back on track after a long recovery from shoulder injury!

Watching live now (sort of) ... best of luck to Bobby this weekend.
Hope it is a safe one for all the racers.

SBK Q1 done and as I have been before I was impressed by the grit that Herrin has. :applause

Bobby showed some too and Cam is so good at doing Cam.

WOW what a battle in STK1000! Congrats to JD Beach and his team, Jayson Uribe threw everything at it, what a workout! Points leader Andrew Lee sat back and kept his nose clean, the championship battle lives on until tomorrow. Whew!

Bummed for Jason.. hell of a battle. :thumbup

Good supersport race. #1 did his thing and the scramble behind was very entertaining.

Cam P.. ouch. Looked like nothing major thankfully.

Yeah I hope CamP is ok, that looked very ouchy!

OK here we go with the SOOOOOOOPERbikes! Just heard them say CamB has a hand injury, we know Herrin has a banged up leg, it's gonna be a long hot hard race, GOOO Bobby!

FUN STUFF IN SBK! The last lap was really good...!

Damn... Bobby need more motor juice!!

Congrats to Kyle Wyman and his team, nice to see Hannah and the baby!

Now from the Big Bad Baggers to the Tiny Talent Cuppers!

Announcement from Rahal Ducati: Corey Alexander is off the team for next year. He is being replaced by Di Mario. PJ is staying with Rahal, but racing Superbike. Ducati has found a Superbike for the Rahal team. Kayla is staying put: Rahal Ducati/Supersport

More on Corey

Good to see PJ step up to SBK and Di Mario is for sure a talent.

Bummed for Corey though.

Wow well that was worth waiting for, well done Mathew Scholtz and Strack Racing, and what a great battle for the final step on the podium, hero of the day CamP the wounded warrior puts it on the box which he might need help climbing onto! Kayla must be so fired up, let's see what she can do in NJ.

NorCal! Wow what a save by CamB. Well done Bobby and full credit to Herrin for toughing it out.

New Jersey is gonna be wild, points are so close with three races to go. Maybe some rain, maybe Gagne, the M4 boys, couple of Hondas get into the mix?
