Time to do a tour of the east as we work our way to Austrailia. Japan is always a cool vibe and different in ways than the Euro crazy fans.
The Twin Ring name is because it has an oval and road course. NASCAR race there?? Why yes.. they did a exhibition race in the 90's. :teeth

MM is ready to grab a title and has had success here many times before.

Marc won in ’16, 18 & ’19 leading all others in the MotoGP class. He did alright on the smaller bikes too winning on each.
Alex as won here 3 times in the smaller classes. Bagnia and Miller are the only other current racers to win in the GP class.

Quick shout out to Schwantz for having 4 wins in the 500cc class and Kato for having 4 wins in the 250 class.

Rossi won 3 in the GP class and 1 in the 500cc class to. All hail the Doctor! All winners

Alex is 182 points back and Pecco is 275 with Bez closing in on 3rd just 8 behind. Only Alex can stop Marc now.

Honda's home track will not see one of their boys win, but maybe Marini or Zarco can sniff a podium. I hope so.
Also hope to see Bez continue his form and Jorge continue to gain confidence and sniff a top 5. Jorge holds the lap record so maybe he will pull that off.

It is a good home coming for the Japanese racers. Ai Ogura (Trackhouse MotoGP Team :flag) will be cheered for big time and did Ayumu Sasaki, Ryusei Yamanaka, Yuki Kunii and Taiyo Furusato are likely stoked to be on home turf at Motegi. I would bet Ai is gunning for a top 10.

Marguez is ready to take back the C'ship like he did in 2019 (his sixth MotoGP title). That would complete one of the greatest comebacks in sports history. Marc has endured multiple surgeries, three different injuries, two changes of team and leaving Honda behind for a shot with Ducati.

Hard to get against him being185 points clear at the end of the weekend with his form and that means he will be the 2025 World Champion. Sunday could be the day.

What you all thinking about the weekend??

Choose as many as you wish in the poll.

An entertaining starts to the weekend.

How many Honda's straight to Q2??
Only one man remains as going straight to Q2 in every race.
How slippery is the track??

Good fun :thumbup

The Mechanics got a bit of a workout today...
Friday a bit of a crash-fest...suprising comebacks from some of the crashiest!

Holy smokes! Great race. Three world champions on the podium as well!

MM is a legendary talent. I am Bummed all I could watch was YouTube highlights.

Good to see Pecco do so well. About time!

man, I was turning blue, holding my breath and willing Mr Pecco to the finish line in his cloud of smoke ... :facepalm :laughing

congratulations to Mr Marc Márquez ... :ride

I think this is the first time that we didn't hear from the top three at the end, since all attention was on Marc. Congratulations to him for winning a 7th championship. One more to be even with Agostini.
