I may have to buy one of these. Shop rate is so high I may pay for it the first time I change oil. I rode with the service light on for several oil changes on my old S1000XR.
What say current BMW riders who do their own service?

My Service light has been on for 5 years on my R1200RT. :)

My plan was to wait until I needed some other diagnostic tool feature vs just turning off the light ... and thankfully that has not happened in 5 years.

Even the MotoScan route has gotten expensive ... seems like about $200 for the app, cable, and adapter.

GS-911 is around $400.

I've asked 2 different BMW dealerships, they wanted around $150-$175 to do it ... but they said that "service" is they run a full diagnostic on the bike, turn off the service light, and give you the results of the scan ... they don't just turn off the light. And seems BMW makes them do that.

Maybe an independent moto repair place could just turn the light off for cheaper?
