Ok, I had my 690 smc for a year and put about 4K miles on it banging around Redding on the back roads.
While fun, it wasn't fun after a certain distance. Like three hrs of riding and I was good. Maybe beyond good...lol.
I really started missing all-day rides and seeing what's further out in my area.... you know, ride to Oregon for lunch, or the coast and back, that kind of thing.
So, that said, Happy B-day to me!
New Yamaha MT 09 sp in the house!
Picked it up yesterday in Chico where they treated me right.
Got it home and striped off some of the unnecessary items , passenger pegs, curb feelers off the pegs, shiny reflector thingy's, etc.
At end of today I have 313 miles in and so far very impressed. Shouldn't surprise me as it has some of the best reviews I have seen.
New Tail tidy shows up tomorrow to replace that plank out back.
So many features on this bike it could make a guys head spin trying them all out.
More details to follow.
