Apart from the "literally" bit, juupo is not exagerrating about speeds in the Broadway tunnel. Add in that it's narrow and usually densely packed which makes it safer to speed than not.I don't drive in SF so I was asking a simple question, okay?
Dan
10-4, thank you.Apart from the "literally" bit, juupo is not exagerrating about speeds in the Broadway tunnel. Add in that it's narrow and usually densely packed which makes it safer to speed than not.
And juupo, I doubt that bergmen was ragging you, it's not his style.
.
60+ in a 35, it's a wonder you only got a warning.
Dan
I'm going to start signing tickets I receive with "Warning Only" now.

Having worked in SF, 60 MPH on Broadway is not all that unrealistic to see on a regular basis especially right past or in the tunnel. Cop probably didn't feel like making it a thing.![]()

Growing up in SF we used the Broadway tunnel to set our personal land speed records.. Then on to the Embarcadero Freeway to do the same... Or we'd start on the Embarcadero Freeway and then hit Broadway..
I remember a bike going down in the tunnel. It was going West-bound, from Powell Street. The rider went into the pedestrian walkway's metal barrier. The full-face helmet went all the way to Polk & Broadway. The head was still in the helmet.
