CDONA has been updating this thread started by Butch in 2018 for a long while.
The latest article is worthy of a new thread in my opinion because it points out the failure to push for OUR RIGHTS.

After all it is your tax money. I suggest you read the article.
If it was not for the AMA / Blue Ribbon Coalition / CORVA/ Friends of Oceano Dunes and other citizen groups I think we would be shit on totally as the Gov't folks for the most part don't give a rats ass about OHV stuff. There are exceptions, but I would say most just want us to go away
Certainly the Coastal Commission gives a flying F about us.
I do respect the Park Rangers and other boots on the ground members of the State Parks immensely but the folks at the top?? Not so much.
The one thing we can to is to support the groups that defend our rights, write letters to our congressional representatives to address specific issues here and there.
This guy was hired by the by State Parks and worked on the inside for 17 years as a geologist consultant. He is worth listening too.
When he says this... we should pay attention.

I guess I am fired up and happy to be wearing my Friends of Oceano Dunes today. Time to send them a little more support.
