StonyBARF 22 April 30 to May 3, 2026

Believe it or not, I even had a great time! MCL tear, meniscus tear and possible ACL damage. I’ll have an MRI on Saturday to know for sure. Got some actual crutches so I’m not an un-walking booby trap with my RV ladder/crutch 😂 Thank you so much for helping me, everyone! The asking for help muscle is a weak one, so I sat and blubbered for a while a bit overwhelmed by all that help 🖤 I’m super grateful and never could have gotten off the hill or packed out without you.

Ps I’ve never had so many people offer me tramadol!
Sorry to see you typing hurt words. Hope it is not bad and you can heal without a DR invading your personal space.

Love the canopy pic... the Ice not as much but still very useful.

Heal up quick Lucy, will be thinking of you. I will be making sure I pack my Baja Stash of pain killers this fall.

Heal up well, Lucy.

What a great photo of the RV under the moon.

Thanks everyone for a FUN StonyBARF! Nice seeing those I remembered, & meeting all of the rest of you!

Shame my Thursday night guest (Joanne) couldn't stay longer. She would have loved this group!

Had fun coaching Cupid's Arrow Friday morning, while she rode John's 125. Consensus was she & hubby should take the beginner dirt class at Hollister, so they can ride small dirtbikes with clutches.

I had planned to ride the Explorer the rest of the day Friday, but it ended up with a flat front tire & no spare tube. D'OH! Rode Ms.Beta (2011 520RS) in the afternoon to get some air thru my helmet.

Saturday I hit the trails about noon, D'OH! Potato Hill & forest roads to Mill Valley & tried the backway to Letts Lake. The mud hole back there was a frickin' POND!!! Met Diter & the gang at Letts Lake, but didn't remember to take a photo of the group, D'OH!

But I did remember after they left.

Amazing how the 2012 plastics & decals shrunk the motor to a 498! ;-)

Took 17N02 to 16N18/T20/T3 intersection & turned right on 16N18 to head up to Goat Mtn. Met Butch & Bronda coming the other way. Got around the Goat Mtn gate & for about a mile the road had been cleared of downed trees. A bit further I got around one tree, but the next one turned me away.

Did the short, middle section of T4. Ahhhh!

Back to 16N18 to M5 south to Cedar Camp. Met a few quads on M5, but they always gave me plenty of room & hand signals of how many more behind them. :)
This is the entrance to Cedar Camp. :-(

Continued down M5 to Green Flat CG to see if the old water tank was still there. The sign off M5 simply said Green Flat. Hmmm... I rode up to the flat, but you could not see the road continuing to the right to the water tank. I visited with a family having lunch there. There were so much downed trees & branches I decided I didn't want to hike thru there.

Here's a 2013 photo of the water tank at the end of the old CG. Great refreshing stop on a warm day.

Back up M5 to 16N18 & decided to avoid the rest of M5. So back to 17N02 & to camp the way I came up. Good DS ride. :ride

Jack started the Saturday night fire & Jen made it much bigger!

Then CJ built a support stand in the fire for the 5-month-old Christmas Tree! View in 4K & turn up the volume to hear the commentary!

Good luck Lucy with your speedy recovery! (y)

Looking forward to the next StonyBARF!

Catfish ...

Want to thank everyone for being so welcoming and generous. I was gifted some wonderful hand-me-downs that will be put to good use, some good coaching and advice on what to try next, and lots of fun memories. Special thanks to John and Cathy for letting me hop on your bikes and get some use out of my new gear (and Mike for offering, though your bike was too tall for my comfort :laughing).

We had a great time! (y) Thanks for arranging everything @Butch

Loved the dogs too :love
