I have mostly just been posting AFT stuff in the general moto thread in the General Forum, but man this has me really paying attention and figure these racers deserve their own spot.

Let's start with some history!!!!!!! :banana

STORY

After giving road racing a go with Kenny Roberts tutoring him the multi time singles champ and son of AMA Legend Joe Kopp fricking won right out the gate.

Really a holy shit moment after watching Daniel and Bauman go at it last year.

Huge props young man! :applause

Singles winner Drane climbed off his road racer and went and climbed on his single to win with his new #1 plate. GNC level shit there. :thumbup

A lot more slide 'em sideways action tonight!

First AFT race in the books, and it was one for the books. Kody Kopp wins his heat, wins the dash for cash and the main event. First rider to ever win his first race in his first race in the premier class. Dallas Daniels got second. Henry Willes third.

Note rider fell just after Kody took the white flag and Dallas was pushing hard from second. By rule the race is over after the leader takes the white flag and the race is red flagged.
I posted the above in the "Flat Track Racing Mega Thread - INCLUDES SPOILERS!" But this AFT season does deserve it own thread, it is going to be good. The AMA site on RB had the race live. Note no what Kody accomplished: Kenny Roberts took two races to win his first AMA expert race, rare company.

Not sure if tonight's race will be live without a subscription to Floracing. Fox Sports will carry after the event see schedule below.

Sam Drane followed his first Singles win with a second and leads the points.. and then decides to go win the Twins race on the banking. The young Aussie is showing Kenny Roberts GNC magic. :thumbup

Thanks Bill. I kind of felt the AFT guys deserve a current season separate thread after Kopp lit up the big boys class. Appreciate you hitting the mega thread with the info! :Port
