Tesla Model 3: End of the Internal-Combustion Engine?

Is that somehow a bad thing?

Model S is the sexiest looking full size hatchback, IMO. Definitely prefer it to the Panera.

I’m gonna go with the Aston Martin Rapide for that honor...

It's because he purposefully denigrates the BMW M3 by calling the Tesla 3 an "M3" , now a new one is to call the Porsche a "Panera"

LOL :laughing.

Even in the Tesla groups, people mention that the Tesla Model 3 should not be called M3 (I agree). Its common to shorten in text to M3, MS, MX, MY, ext. Perhaps TM3.

Yet, BMW 3-Series sales in the US have been slipping for at least the last 5 years (maybe BMW will do better in 2019), and Tesla Model 3 sells about 3 to 1 BMW 3-Series, that perhaps ....

Man, I'd love to have that Taycan.

DragTimes has uncovered that Top Gear fabricated the test results. Tisk, Tisk, Top Gear. Well its not the first time they have lied about Tesla testing.

Top Gear has responded to the criticism and admitted they lied and DragTimes pointed out again, that Top Gear lied again in their admission to lying.

They didn't fabricate the test times. They posted an old 'best' time for the Tesla because the times they recorded for it during this test were even slower. They were doing Tesla a solid by posting the best time they've recorded for that car. Would have been a good idea to disclose that up front, but it wasn't faking anything.

The styling really lost something in the translation from the concept. It went from 918->Panamera.

Gotta disagree. I think the wide body Turbo S looks the tits and captures almost all the proportion of the Mission E concept, particularly with the five spoke wheels, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I can't wait to see an owner put some proper R compound tires on it and take it to the track.

I think you are working off a different definition of fabricate than me and DragTimes. :laughing. It's explained thoroughly in the video.

Forgot that car existed.

I think I've seen one once, and it was at an Aston service center on a hoist.

I just googled to recall what it looks like and personally I prefer a facelift Model S to the Rapide, although the Rapide does look nice, but I'm biased..

I've only seen one as well...that might be why we're all forgetting it.

Personally, I really like the Fisker Karma's look.

Seriously considering the Tesla pickup depending on how it looks when it comes out. Also depending on if I own a house where I can charge at home off of solar by the time it comes out.

I can't wait to film the Unibody welds break on my GoPro!

Again, they didn't fabricate anything. They got lower results in their test. You can argue all day about whether they did it right or not, but nothing they did was faked. And in the end we're talking about a very small difference, one that is so totally meaningless in the real world, that it makes no sense that people like Musk are even getting on Twitter to argue about it. The guy really has some kinda insecurity cum control freak thing going on.

Oh and Tesla allegedly (unofficially) beat the Taycan Ring time by 30 seconds yesterday. With a stripped out prototype running a widened track, non stock brakes, non stock wheels and tires and a non stock aero. But hey, Musk can say he ran a faster time...

On a somewhat ironic note, it seems Musk lied about he permanent supercharger installation at the Ring. Evidently Tesla packed it up and took it back home with the cars they were testing.

Have you considered not buying a Tesla?

Ian Callum and Henrik Fisker are the two greatest automotive designers since Harley Earl IMO. Those guys create sex on wheels.

J Mays was the opposite. He was a hack who got undeserved attention and credit.

Solid post is is SOLID!

November 21st for Tesla Truck unveil.

More towing/load capacity than an F150 with performance matching a Porsche 911.

I wonder how towing performance will affect range. These batteries hate heavy loads, it seems...
