My OG mend has started.

Pain reminds us that we are still alive. As they say....don't ask me how I know. Heal up Bro.

Just struck me, if you haven't already- mention to your PT therapist your riding goal. Have them be sure to address whatever muscles (Doc Wong says, abdomen was high on the list) as you will be doing some marathon riding.

I agree. Also, throwing my leg over the bike(s) to get on and off has been a big obstacle for me. It's an odd motion that you should probably address in your rehab. Luckily you're starting from a strong baseline... you'll do great! :thumbup

Good to be reminded that for every one of those. It was because of chasing fun.

This one not.

Frustrations, pain and struggles this AM. :(
well I am sending lots of BudLove out today, friend. I know it doesn't fix anything but you have a YUUUUGE cheerleading section sending out good juju for you.

Thank you all. PT2 was an exercise in frustration.

I got screwed up in the med cycle and I did get sore from PT 1 (kicked ass). So mostly stretching.

I did tell both PT people and the Dr my moto goals.

The Dr said he is sure I will be good to go by January. He is the only one here that calls me old. :laughing

Thanks for the scooter suggestions. I already have one coming!!

Can’t show this enough. Very motivating.
Sure ya’ll will be sick of seeing it soon.

hadn’t thought of a technique to get my leg over the seat; on occasion my foot-will hang up on the bag on the passenger seat.
Today a technique carried out with bike on kickstand; stood on the throttle side of the bike, placed my left hand on the throttle to stabilize /lean forward weight on the right foot; raise my left leg and Bent knee - extended it over the bike.

goooood morning, Bud. i hope your pain is managed and that PT goes well. give yourself lots of grace and patience. :kiss

Not exactly the same scenario, but I had surgery back in Spring of this year before I learned to ride.

I looked forward to learning how to ride a motorcycle as my motivation for being patient with my healing and doing all the proper care during recovery. I picked my bike out before I had any reason to buy one and drooled over it until I was finally able to buy it 🤣 Let me tell you, it's a pretty effective motivator. You got the right idea!

Sorry to hear about the pain of pt. More pain now = less pain in the long run but it still sucks. Rooting for you!

Good morning to you my friend.
Thinking about my 3 torn tendons and an additional one pulled out of the bone...That hurt, the subsequent harvesting out of my quad and hamstring hurt more.

Just remember this:

PAIN IS WEAKNESS LEAVING YOUR BODY

Trying to be sympathetic for you doing your PT BUTT I'm in Zihuatanejo, on the beach watching MotoGP Q2 with the wife for our 40th anniversary.......you know, because I didn't fall down the stairs :) heal quick so we can go ride again.

Thanks TWT.

Knocked out PT. Longest walk so far.

Watching some MX of Nations. Super close battle down for the final moto. USA 1 point behind Australia. Then some MotoGP.

Nice to have some of my passions on the TV.

Rehab with the wife time! Really glad to have her helping.

How much longer do you expect you stay at the Luxury Rehab and Stay?
Glad you have your wife there to help with the ongoing PT.

Hooray for walking!
