Thailand pics

I watched a Youtube on the Long Boats of Thailand last night. It was part travel show and part motor head stuff as the boats were custom 500 hp turbo. It is posted in the youtube vid thread in sink pic and vids.

I found it fascinating. Both boats and culture.

I think every place has it's positives and negatives. Nowhere is guna be perfect. I just really try to focus on the positive.

The biggest negative for me is the smoking everywhere. The Europeans love their fags and they can smoke anywhere here. So all those nice photos of beach side open air decks and stuff to eat on are basically big ashtrays (if in a tourist area).

I'm literally sitting here watching my laundry washing machine run on the balcony trying to figure out where the water that was all over the balcony the other day came from. Naturally no water leaking when I'm watching.... I think the AC drain might have been the problem now??

I just kinda post bike related stuff here. But everything that applies to having a vacation condo in a tropical beach location, visas, expat stuff I deal with, etc applies. It just doesn't really seem relevant on a bike forum.


The big difference is I'm in a place where I can afford not to work year around and can ride bikes 3-4 days a week. I just can't afford to have a vacation home and live this lifestyle somewhere like Hawaii. The currency arbitrage makes it possible here.

On the long boat vid they mentioned that the language is unique. Have you learned it..??
