Actually, me sometimes lol.Like....who dafuq would argue with this statement?
I got a buddy who’s a game warden. He’s successfully used fake social media accounts to bust poaching rings. I like that. A lot.
I can split hairs a bit and say that’s “undercover” work which maybe would get a pass in my own little value system.
What definitely doesn’t get a pass in my value system is uniformed officers lying to the public, in public or detectives lying in interrogations. I understand it can be an expedient technique. IMOH, the cumulative loss of public trust isn’t worth it. Once the public sees law enforcement as untrustworthy (pretty sure lots of us do already) the long term damage is difficult to undo.
