So yesterday I was waiting for an important work-related call but I wanted to get to the recycling center before they close at 5PM. When my call ended, it was 4:30.The recycling place is pretty close. Wasn't rushing, speeding or rolling stop signs or anything like that. When I get there at 4:45, one of the guys is already holding the gate open just enough to let the last cars out but won't let anyone in. Says we're closed. If your hours are listed 8AM-5PM, why are you shutting down 15 minutes early? Maybe I'm being naive on why that might be.
Come on, really? When I worked for Nordstrom Rack some years ago, our closing hour was 9. Sometimes we didn't lock the door until 9:05-9:10 because we're in closing mode. But if someone walked in before we locked up, we didn't say no and let them shop. Sure, recycling cans and bottles and clothing sales are very different businesses but still if you have declared operating hours, then do that.
At least what lightened my mood is about three blocks away before I got there, I saw this dude running with two full bags of whatever he had to be recycled and I'm talking to myself, "Dude, you MUST know what time it is. You're never gonna make it..."

I wish I was a passenger in the car so I could have taken video. It was a scene like something I might have scrolled past on Facebook.
And there's the most annoying thing that's happened in the past couple days.
