CORRECTION! 1980 XLH 1000 Sportster
NO LONGER FOR SALE
The bike has been serviced by a local Bend, Oregon, mechanic. New Metzler tires, new brake lines, fresh Yusa battery, fork oil changed, and a NOS speedometer/Electronic Tach installed. I have the original speedometer and tach, but the speedo quit working. I have the mileage from the original speedo on a label on the back of the new speedo, which arrived with zero miles on it! The bike has just under 13,000 miles, and I am the second owner. Clear title, mechanically sound, runs great, all records from the work I had done on the bike, no accidents. This is a great, unmolested Sportster with an S&S carb. For a full price offer I will deliver the bike to the Bay Area in my enclosed trailer. And I will happily negotiate delivery as part of any accepted offer. I have three bikes in my garage, and I just don't ride the Sportster that much anymore. I have an owner's manual, a parts catalog, Climers manuals, a battery tender, and some other odds and ends to go with the sale.
When I bought this, I wanted a vintage bike. I considered UJM options before deciding I wanted an Iron Head Harley. Finding a clean, low-mileage bike was a priority. This bike fit the bill, and after going through it with a fantastic Harley mechanic, the bike is in great condition. I know these old Sportsters don't have the appeal of some Harley's
