In February I searched for an aftermarket saddle for my used but new-to-me 2017 BMW R1200GSA. I decided to go with Corbin again since they are nearby and I’ve had their saddles going back to 1995 on 2 previous bikes and I’ve been quite happy with them.

Since I compiled the different recommended suppliers, thought I’d list them here in case anyone wants this info. I also like to know where a company of physically located, so I provide that info based on my simple searches. Be advised that the location may not be where their products are manufactured.

Feel free to add to this list. This list is, by far, not complete. These are the ones recommended to me, both saddles and seat covers.

For what it’s worth — lastly, I will share that from those who reported riding very long distances, like thousands of miles in only a few days, there appeared to be a consensus that RDLs were the best for comfort. I have never owned an RDL, I’ve only owned Corbins, and the worst ride I ever did was 2,000 miles in 2-3 days. Twice, San Francisco to St. Louis, then the return. And my Corbin saddle was comfortable (enough) for that. Since I don’t foresee doing more than that St. Louis ride (I’m starting to age out; I’ll be 65 in a couple of months), and I also preferred the look of the Corbins, I bought another Corbin. My third one in 30 years.

@budman , maybe this can be added to your reviews sticky?

About WindRider Seat Covers, my experience was a little puzzling.

I finally found them at WindRider International, 2457 E Judd Rd, Burton, MI 48529; 612-338-2170, 888-609-2827. When I called, their message greeting confirmed it was them.

But that’s not where they told me they were located, and that’s what’s a little puzzling to me.

My 4 steps here —

(1) My inquiry (on 11 Feb)

I requested their location from their contact form ➜ https://windriderseatcovers.com/pages/contact-us

Hello where is your company located? Where is its headquarters and where is your manufacturing facility? I ride a 2017 BMW R1200GS Adventure with stock saddles and am considering buying your seat cover. Thank you.

Today I searched on ‘address WindRider Seat Covers Florida’, and Google AI came back with:

Based on search results, WindRider, known for motorcycle seat covers, lists a shipping address in Michigan, not Florida. The official shipping address is 2457 E Judd Rd, Burton, MI 48529. They can be contacted via email at support@windrider.com or via their website.

Key Information:

Phone: 888-609-2827 (Toll-Free) or 612-338-2170 (Office)

(4) Map confirmation

I searched Google Maps on ‘2457 E Judd Rd, Burton MI’ and that confirmed their location.

A little puzzling, but, whatever. Thought I’d share about their little cloak-and-dagger game.

I can vouch for Laam Seats. He did 2 for me when he was still in Redding CA.
Great craftsmanship, very comfortable and much less than the gold standard (Russell Day Long).

This was the last one for a BMW K1600 I owned.
