I really want to get into tracking but it seems all the local kart tracks have a 450cc limit
If I read the specs correctly, the 500 makes less power than FS/450smrs ? Any ideas?
That’s a great idea!450 stickers?
I used to track my 680cc supermoto'd xr650r at Stockton track days long ago.
I'd own the straight and get eaten everywhere else lol.
I feel thatI was kidding about the stickers.
Reach out to the track day providers and find out how they deal with it. Or wait for somebody here to chime in with better information maybe based on their experience understanding of the track days..
I wasn't skirting any rules with my 680, it was allowed back then
Seems fun but I have zero experience with tracking a bike lol. But I’m trying change that very soonShoulda went to the MotoAmerica Mini Cup Sonoma qualifier. They had Saturday practice and Sunday race last weekend.
BTW there will be a race up in Reno at Desert Park Raceway this weekend. You can practice Friday and if you stick around Saturday and Sunday you can race or watch the racing. I don't think they will have the dirt section open for the practice day though because they're sharing with karts.
They even got a class that you can race your bike in
SM2 Class Regulations:
- Minimum Age: 15 years old
- Engine Specs:
- 4-Stroke: Over 250cc up to 550cc
- 2-Stroke: Over 175cc up to 350cc
