can you file a trial by written declaration online now?

My understanding is that you have to post bail though (money for ticket) but it does mention In San Mateo County, the requirement to post bail in advance for Trial by Written Declaration is temporarily waived.

so.... I can basically do a TRD online? or am I misunderstanding something?
 
It looks that way for San Mateo County... On line TBWD without prepaying the fine. This will vary by county. Not all counties are set up for TBWD on line, nor are all counties waiving the prepayment requirement.
 
I did it.. problem is that you dont get any notification that your case was filed, etc. Will need to call just to make sure it went through.
