Finally got my 1st Mercury home.
Now that I'm fully retired I can work on it whenever I'm not out RIDING!!
This thing dwarfs the cherokee behind it.
byke, Big Block wagons make me moist too.
I went back up to Happy Camp a few weeks ago and got the second Mercury wagon off the hill side and rescued it from a sure death by crusher.
This is the rarer of the 2, and a really nice find. The body is in MUCH better shape, and the interior, though dirty and stiff, is fully intact with no seat tears.
1968 Mercury Colony Park 10 passenger wagon.
'Q' code Super Marauder 428 cu.in. 4 barrel engine, 345 h.p.
Optional:
- Power Side Windows- Power Driver Seat- Deluxe Luggage Rack- Deluxe Steering Wheel- Third Row Center Facing Seats- Power Disc Brakes- Power Steering- Air Conditioner - Whisper-Aire- AM/FM Stereo Radio- Tinted Glass- Deluxe Seat Belts- Remote Control Left Hand Mirror- Deluxe Wheel Covers- Heavy Duty Suspension.
As you can guess, my wife is Super Stoked to have 2 dilapidated old Mercury wagons at the compound, but she knows that it makes me happy, so she is happy for me. PLUS, she knows that someday, in the future, she can drive one of these beauties around town, being the COOLEST grandma ever!

When I get to the serious stuff, I will start another thread, and post up progress.
