driver turns left -Boom out go the lights

Normally I say the rider is in control of safety but you were just invisible to the driver so anything you might have done differently is irrelevant. Hope you heal up 100% sooner than later.
 
Horrifying! Sorry that happened. Fingers crossed for good recovery.

Speedy Recovery Chris.

I have gone through a broken femur. Make sure you are doing your PT everyday and stay on top of it. Seriously, my right leg will never fully recover but I was 24 and a dumbass who rushed pt and didn't do my exercises. They are no joke!

That is just f'in brutal what some cagers do to us.
Sorry to hear a stupid driver is putting you through the hell. That's gotta suck big time.

I normally don't watch MC crash videos. They hit to close to home. But I watched yours. Fuk. That was horrific and reminded me why I don't watch these things. Good on the car following to have video'd and turned it in. Best wishes on your recovery.

Dang! Glad you have it on camera! The insurance company would always try to not pay for the incident.

Now I want to find a pair of riding pants with airbags…

One question...you said “uncontrolled intersection”....but it has a signal light (which I thought was “controlled”)...what am I not getting?
