Hopefully I'm not doing anything dirty here by cross posting from ADV........I got on this one a little late, but here is the date none the less!

Pretty much guaranteed to be warm and at least somewhat smoky depending on fire season, so no whiners on this one!
:imaposer

Event will be held at the Modoc District Fairgrounds in beautiful historic downtown Cedarville, CA! As in years past, this is pretty much a serve yourself situation. Bring what you need and plan your own activities. Most importantly, clean up after yourself and leave the grounds in better condition than we found them. The fees are posted on the sign entering the gate and envelopes/drop box are provided for payment there.

I remember there being at least 2 restaurants and a small grocery store in town last time I visited for those who prefer to not bring their grub. I believe there are two motels running in the area. We stayed at the Sunrise Motel last year.....It wasn't the Ritz, but no complaints from either of us.

There is plenty room for RV's and posts with RV power hookups were 20' in from the curb, but be sure to bring a long cord.....EDIT: the RV post I tried to plug into was either 20/50A, so be sure to have an adapter if you need 30A like I did. Plenty of nice level grass areas for setting up tents. Restrooms and shower facilities were older but clean.

I'll plan on being there by Thursday or maybe even Wednesday if others will be arriving early! If you plan on making it, maybe post up what you are riding and what type of riding you would like to do. I've always brought my 701 Enduro since there can be a fair amount of pavement riding to make a loop, get to the dirt, and most of the stuff is gravel 2 track that can be done on a bigger bike. If there was a large number of 350/450/500 sized bikes, I'd maybe consider bringing my 501S. Ive even thought of trying to stuff the 1290 in the bed to do some serious loops?

Company is always good and the facility is decent with good shade, mowed grass, and showers available.

Only two pics I took last year.....

Cedarville...

It's desert, sage and sand -OR- It's mountains, trees and dirt.
Drowned bikes, bent rims and middle-of-nowhere flat repairs.
Hot springs or a cold (small) lake, with fish.
It's been cold. Damn cold. It's been hot. Sweaty hot.
It's been cottonwood bloomed out. It's been dusted out.
It's been awesome.

Grassy camping with hookups and water. And showers.
Only $10 a night!

Sort of a love hate thing for me. More "L" than "H"!
But it just may fit into my travel schedule this coming August.

It would be an honor to have you out there again!

72nd birthday celebration? Hookers and blow for all......Not sure what a person might round up out there?!

Coming up........Have you made your reservations yet?

Temps are expected on the cooler side of normal and smoke has been non existent! Fingers crossed.......

I'll be putting the 300 on the van and driving up Thursday.

Looking forward to some of this - It's desert, sage and sand -OR- It's mountains, trees and dirt.

Rode up and back with John last time I went and it was a blast on my 1090 - He towed me around on his awesome routes and we camped at Virginia Peak on the way.

I started my work-week on Sunday, and hope to make my appearance for this year’s Cedarville pilgrimage on Friday evening. :ride

I have a vague plan to finally find the NV watchtower on Yellow Hill, or whatever it’s called …

we’ll see … :facepalm

We'll save you a spot! Might be in the dusty arena though? :p
