End of Pavement Rally....Cedarville, CA August 7-10th 2025

epic day … some of my pics:

we found the best, free, first-come -first-served desert cabin I’ve ever seen, made of stone:

I’ll need to “camp” a night here sometime soon.

we found Yellow Peak … this is what passes for a watchtower in NV, where they have a total of three in the entire state:

another cool building in the Sheldon Antelope Preserve, also made of stone with a shake roof:

Mr @m0t0_ryder in the big empty on the mighty Honda Trail 125:

we did lots of road like above, but also roads like this:

Mr @Cabrito showing us how it’s done in the tough stuff:

can’t wait ‘til our 2026 EoP rally … :ride

I took one action pic the whole weekend and it was the SweenDawg rolling in Friday afternoon.

Great turn out with awesome company! Already looking forward to next year.

the 2025 BARF End of Pavement men’s sewing circle, conniving to come up with nicknames:

how real men load up their 400 lb dirt bikes all by themselves … engine running, in first gear, with judicious and self-confident use of the clutch:

carnage avoided, believe it or not. :laughing

Cabrito! You take great pics! Looks like great fun.

My ranps come with a safety strap, loop mine on the hitch ball, yours is missing, , ,
I have spit ramps out from under, when I didn't have that anchor.
Safety strap is also installed on this ramp and is deployed....you just can't see it.

I would never want to end up being the guy on an IG short we laugh at!

we actually had a conversation about why ramp companies don't simply sew a safety strap to their ramps ... :ride

I suspect that this ramp is so steep and short that most of the spit energy is being directed down at the ground at an acute enough angle that it would be difficult to spit it out ... but better safe than sorry! :clown

Mr @CrazyCooter sez he's gonna try to pick the same weekend for 2026, which is I guess the second weekend in August, which would be August 8-9, 2026. :ride

I'll try to take the week off, before, and attempt to do some peak bagging and camping and fishing on the way to the fairgrounds--maybe spend a night on Yellow Peak or in the Sheldon Stone Cabin ... 🥳

I just emailed Diana at the fairgrounds asking if they had selected the 2026 dates for the fair yet.......... And the purposed Aug 6th-9th dates.

It's looking like we possibly could do this event a week later and still not crowd the maintenance crew at the fairgrounds. Labor Day is a week later next year than it is this year and the fair falls the weekend before Labor Day. Diana put notes on the calendar but suggested that I email her next year for confirmation as I'm guessing the official dates for the fair have not been selected yet.
