Get Fit, Stay Fit, Feel Good - 2026

Went to the Gym at 1pm and did the real deal bike ride, PT leg protocols and resistance training. Almost feels like a double day, but the PT visit this morning is not a full workout by any means.

Saw two of my high school bud's there which is always a reminder of how f'ing old I am. :laughing

Oh man. I wonder what kind and amount of therapy you are doing.

I need almost 48hrs to recover after getting my pressure point massage therapy. I’ve tried to ride the day after and it’s terrible - everything feels useless and uncoordinated. This has made it really hard for me to fit this therapy into my schedule lol.

I can workout before my massages. My therapist says a light workout before can help warm everything up so she can do a better job.

Well it is not massage therapy.

It is specific exercises with a lot of reviewing certain things, checking on the various range of motions that are important. 45 minutes total. I have been a bit tired when being introduced to a bunch of new stuff, but at this point I might get one or two new things to try or take up a level.

Having her do some light but forced stretching is great. It hurts, but not terrible and it is a great mental exercise to deal with the pain and still get the muscle group to relax to allow progress.
Reminds me of my youth and my martial arts training.

So now I kind of think of it as a 1/3 work out, but a specific item may impact a specific area a bit more.

I would really liked some real massage therapy, but that is not covered by insurance and I am trying to keep this all on the cheap since this really smacked my income in the face.

Gym membership = Free. Therapy = Free.

Massage therapy has always been out of pocket for me, but it gives the best results, by far.
I will tell you, if you can find a good sports massage therapist, it will be worth every penny!
