it would help if you told us how long you'd been together, but i'd say spend around $200. my suggestion if she doesn't have one is a digital camera.

we have been seeing together for about 8 months i'm thinking about spending somewhere between 200-300.

btw digital camera is a good idea....... i can also use it.... damn i never thought about it...

If she's gradutaing college I'd say take her to Tahoe, Monterey, Etc. If she's graduating highschool, Great America...

you should be able to get her a fine camera for $300. charge it up for her and give it to her the night before. she'll be able to take a bunch of pictures during graduation and if you get her one of those cute ones she's guaranteed to like it.

congratulations btw. where is she graduating from?

let the suggestions keep coming.....

so far i'm inclined towards electronics (which includes digital camera)

the article from bankrate is very practical and the one from cnet is funny .... the pink ipodmini made me roll on the floor :laughing :laughing :laughing :laughing

If she was my girlfriend, I'd buy her an Omega.

Provided that she's hot and smart. But since she's getting an MS in CS, I bet she's got the smart part down at least.

dayammm!!! that's a $1500 watch....... thats atleast 5xmybudget..... she ain't gettin that watch......... she'll probaly get it once she starts making some money using her degree .....:teeth :teeth ;)

coming to whether she is hot or not -- to me she's hot.... she has the most beautiful and elcetrifying smile i've ever seen

btw crow aren't you a girl

Yeah, no Omegas for an 8-month GF! :D (Good taste though, Crow, I love my Speedmaster.)

That's a good theme in that it's something durable that she can commemorate her graduation with ... electronics are cool and fun, but have a limited lifespan. Can you read her taste in jewelry as well as you can read a poker table?

one of the reasons why i love her somuch is she ain't into jewelry and doesn't ask me to go shopping with her ....

anyhow i bought her a digital camera canon powershot s410 at fry's..... and i'll be the person using it...... ;) :teeth :teeth

beavis,

You're a naughty gift-giver!! Haha.. Glad you got something you can both (and I'm stressing both) enjoy :)

PS: How much did you get the camera for? Why did you decide not to go with an S500? (lowest price right now is $419 from Dell).

BOTH hehehe ...... :blush :blush

my budget was 300 and since digicam is something which is worth getting a good one (probably not the best) so i decided i'll get s410 for $400 at Frys (s500) is $500...... next thing is i need this by this weekend...... so any internet shopping is ruled out and no DELL (i'm not going to buy anything from DELL, I work for AMD and DELL does not use AMD chips in their system)........

i did some research this afternoon and now bought the same camera on circuitcity.com. i'll go to NEWARK circuitcity to pick it up for $400 but i'll get a $75 gift certificate. which is a good deal and I will return the fry's camera. i'll be again close to my original budget.....

i wanted to buy a digital camera for myself for almost 2 years and this way i got one for me....

:laughing :laughing :laughing

she is on this board some times ...... i just hope she doesn't read this thread. if she does she'll be so :mad :mad and i'll be doomed.....
