Hit by a car on 101 N

Here is what I do in similar situations, when I need to exit a freeway and there are cars entering at the same place. No matter whether I am riding or driving: when I approach an exit, but still far from it, as far from it as I can see, I pick two cars that are going to enter freeway roughly at the same time I am going to exit. And then I commit myself to go between these cars by adjusting my speed accordingly. The key is - I plan far ahead and then act according to the plan.

I got mad at the pretty thing for doing the same thing as the OP, and she was in her full-size truck.
You entered a lane and slowed down in front of someone that was attempting to speed up. Watch the exit next time, and slow down if anyone is coming and get behind them.

Letting the on ramp car pass is a good idea based on the reasons stated above. If you are getting off he highway and choose to use this method, please please please check your 6 and make sure that you dont get packed by the cager behind you thinking your going to cut the merging on ramp car off.

long story short the report said it was my fault. a witness said i abruptly changed lanes in front of them and the diagram was saying i got hit right away but it took 4-5 seconds before i got hit. it is what it is. im just glad to still be here in one piece and still able to ride. but on the upside my bike is finally running again and looks better than ever.
