Supertwins will wrap up the day.
Another OG Michael Rutter (53yo) is looking to have some fun.
3 lap race to decide who will be the fastest on the small bikes. My money is on Dunlop.
Michael's little twin tapped 162mph. Todd just a bit under 156mph. Pretty good for a 60HP bike.
With so much of the course being flat out on these bikes that is a huge margin and it showed quickly as Dunlop rocked out to a over 10 second lead at the on the first lap.
Dunlop at the pit stop. Crew has to make sure the bike is fully full for the remaining two laps. No urgency with a big lead made it easy.
He did lose time to Todd in the pits, 6 secs was a lot.
12 second lead cut to 6, but with that top speed advantage he should make it up.
As expected he stretched it out and when they started the climb up the mountain he made up for it and more.
6 seconds below the lap record at Ramsey.
Good battle for third as Paul Jordan on an Aprilia is holding onto Dunlops tail and making up time on Dom Herbertson. A lot of it actually.
Down to 5 secs as they hit the last sector. He stuck with Dunlop all the way to the Grandstand.
Dunlop did a 123.056mph lap for a new lap record.
This is smoking on the small bike.
Herbertson did take the final podium spot by 3 seconds. Following Dunlop sure did give Jordan a solid tow!
On to the SR TT tomorrow.
