Just saw 5 kids on McKee in San Jose. They are riding Groms (well, one might be a Kawasaki). Only one is wearing a helmet. They are pulling wheelies etc. on the street.

Sigh.

How the fcuk do they have these bikes and not know they are required by law to wear helmets on the street?


I hope someone stops them and explains it to them before they crash or have the police on their asses. I couldn't follow them, I'm driving a truck and towing a trailer.
 
Honestly the only way they'll learn or start giving a shit is if (when?) one of them crashes and does themselves a serious injury. :\

Wait, no helmets you say? JFC! You should have tazered their assess for their own safety. That's sarcasm. No helmet bike/moto riding was not only the norm but legal into the 80s. We wore them because Mom would stand in front of the garage and watch. Let it go, this is a mom/dad issue.

I don't care, people don't understand that it doesn't take much to fuck your brain up. I had one bad concussion and don't need another. If you don't want to wear a helmet have at it, I won't have to clean the drool off of your chin. Same thing with bicycles, if you think a 5ft fall at 20mph to the dome wont affect you, just do it!

Become a cop and regulate on them? Seriously, I know the law. I'm a mandatory reporter. I care about safety for kids. The reaction you're getting is because this is not a risk-averse group off nanny state minions. Bunch of law breakers up in here...:thumbup
