Looking for friends! PacificTrackTime T-Hill West May 16/17

Missed you on this one but just finished my first track day at THW on 5/23…what a blast! Heading back on 6/20 with PTT but may change to 6/27 with Z2. Got bumped to B- but may stick with C if I go PTT since I hear they run a bit quicker. If you are heading out again it would be great to meet up. Looking to get a track bike soon, ninja 400 or sv650.
 
Budman, it terms of fun and community...it was one of the best days of my life. Now that my hair is getting a bit grey, snow boarding and dirt bike riding can work the body a bit too much making it less enjoyable than it once was, so I am just ecstatic to find something that is less rough of tumble, but just as exciting. Plus, to just be starting out on track with so so much to learn it makes it that much more appealing. Still can't stop thinking about every turn and what I can tweak to improve. Looking to get a track bike ASAP. There a 2003 SV650 on the "Moto for Sale" form posted by AFM 691 that really would like to purchase but I am too new to BARF to reply. Any chance you know of a way I could make contact with the seller? Don't want to misstep on BARF protocols so I just need to be patient that is all good too.

Thanks, in advance @azolation for letting us take over your post. If you are hitting up anymore track days this season let me if they line up with my scheduled days. Thunderhill 6/20, 7/25, 8/15, 9/12 and also at Sonoma 10/5. It would super cool to meet connect with another track newbie!
 
No worries! I'm eying 6/12 with FTD or 6/20-21 with PTT myself. I'll hit you up if I confirm either of these but West was awesome. Moved myself up to B class on day two and set a pretty solid pace in my books. Way more exciting compared to East, especially on a smaller bike.
 
Many thanks! Haven't been on East yet but my jam is more turns/twisties vs straights...West was a blast! Awesome on getting up to B group so quickly, sounds like you are having a great time out there. I ended up picking up the SV650 track bike which could not have worked out better...seller was super cool and the bike was his baby for sure that he purchased new, hope to do it justice over time. I plan on taking things nice and easy in C group as I work to get familiar with this bike and getting back to the sportbike riding position, plus it will be the first timing learning GP moto shifting. Planning on the whole weekend of 6/20 and 6/21 to get some solid riding time on it. Hope to see you out there this season.

Couldn't find time for 6/20-21 but I'm headed to THill East w/ FunTrackDayz for AFM Fridays in B Class if you happen to be going!

On a side note, how do you like GP shift compared to regular?

I’m planning on riding B group on Sunday 6/21 at T-Hill with PTT. I’ll be the old guy on a black R7, #28.
