Need to build a basic landing page website for my startup

Bought domains on squarespace, any suggestions on what the easiest / quickest route is to stand something up? I'm starting in on VC/angel pitches and need to at least have a "here's who we are and what we're about, sign up for our mailing / wait list to stay updated" and maybe a separate "contact us" page for investors.

Claude's whole source code apparently just got accidentally leaked, dunno what other tools are trustworthy these days or how to configure things to a DB for followup sales / mailing / etc.

There are so many options.

All I can say is, right now, don't "AI" it.

An AI can spit this out in 5 minutes, but since you don't know what it's doing, you won't know what it's done, and you should (or have someone who should). Mind, the AI will explain everything to you, how well you'll understand it, I can't say.

You'd likely be better off with something turn key out of the box. But that's not my space.

Squarespace advertises on Fortnine, that's the only thing that comes to mind, but I don't know your budget. The market space for this is enormous.

All you NEED (based on what you asked) is the simplest site on a hosting service. But even something that simple is a big step for the uninitiated. Heck, you can probably set up a Google Form and do this.

Perhaps someone here can step and help.

(All my expertise is back end enterprise systems, I let the Ops guys figure out how all the hosting nonsense.)

Putting up a read-only informational site is a piece of cake with little to worry about.
As soon as you add interactive options where any random black hat can inject things into your system,
you should get paranoid as hell. This is where comp-sec hits the road and you need to KNOW what you're doing.
Financial transactions and a DB are first prize for miscreants.

Yeah, that's why I'm a wee bit concerned about even something seeming basic. I don't want a future client, investor, etc database getting leaked with their contact info. Or mine.

Use Squarespace’s AI builder to get started. Or just pick a theme. Then use their editor to tweak it.
