I already crashed on 236 once in Feb and broke my hand. I am hesitant to do any crazy windy mountain roads. I do like the ride up old san jose/soquel into soquel/capitola from Bear Creek Road though if anyone wants to ride.

Welcome and sorry to hear about the crash. When I started twisty roads, lane splitting and hill starts all got the nerves going. I made it a point to focus on being smooth and not worry about my pace and I also took a class at least once a year. Both helped, but the main one was getting out for rides which is usually helped with riding buddies. It's been a while since I've gotten down to Santa Cruz but I do get a kick out of the roads down there. I'll post up next time I'm thinking about riding down there. You ever go hang at the Motorcycles and Misfits Re-Cycle Garage?
 
Good group, they have a podcast, and the shop is a great place to do work on your own bike with help from some really skilled folks.
