Ouch, that's going to leave a mark.

What did I just see? Besides gross negligence maybe. Who and where did that shot come from? Is there any audio to that?

edit, from the description of the video:

Pasadena, California — On September 7, 2025, inside the Pasadena Police department's parking structure, officers were arriving and preparing for the start of their shifts. According to investigators, a patrol officer drove into the garage and approached several fellow officers who were standing near another police vehicle. As the patrol car pulled up, one of the officers standing outside engaged in what Police Chief Gene Harris later described as “Horseplay”. The officer quickly drew his Gun and pointed it toward the officer sitting inside the approaching patrol vehicle before putting the weapon back into its holster. After seeing this, the officer inside the patrol vehicle also drew his Gun. As he attempted to handle or re-holster the weapon, it discharged. The bullet traveled through the patrol car's windshield and struck the other officer in the left shoulder. The injured officer received medical treatment and later recovered. Chief Harris said the shooting was not the result of a confrontation, criminal activity, or an intentional use of force. Instead, he described it as "unsafe and out-of-policy horseplay involving loaded firearms." The department conducted an internal investigation and imposed disciplinary measures on the officers involved. Meanwhile, the criminal investigation remains under review by Pasadena police detectives and the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

So basically we had two jack ass cops pointing deadly weapons at each other for kicks and one guy got shot. Both should be fired immediately and never rehired for anything that involves a firearm. Fuckin super trooper nonsense. Isn't day fucking one of fire arms training to never point the fucking thing at something you don't want to kill. Absolutely inexcusable. No pension. No bennies. Fired. Gone. Made an example of immediately.

Not a body cam- its the camera inside the patrol car. It may have some audio, but they don't mic outside most patrol cars. As it wasn't a "crime scene" there in the police garage, no reason for anyone to have their body cams on- though they might have the pre-record 30-60 seconds, I don't know what new info would be on it. That one female office back left had a quick draw on her cell to call someone- priorities? Shot came from the officer that is behind the wheel- caught up in the moment. An all too similar scene happened by the Orange County Sheriff at a parking lot near Irvine/El Toro Y 30+ years ago- my room mate at the time was involved.

Bad Cop = No Donut
Though one now has a hole in him. They should call him Donut.

You cannot remove the idiocy from most young males. You ask why? I will point out it's a Y-thing. It's called testosterone for a reason,

Those afflicted with Y-chromosome syndrome test life, while testing your patience as a parent, mentor or employer.

I hope both cops are fired and they never work as a police officer again.

I suspect they used a record after the fact feature. As this wasn't a call, they wouldn't have been recording at the time. Police dash camera systems are generally all run on a DVR system the continuously records video, but not audio, when they are turned on, but not actively recording. Past video can be retrieved, without audio, up until the point that the system records over the old stuff, which could be several weeks, or months, depending on the system and how often the vehicle is used.

"Horseplay" said the Chief
PC 246.3(a) Except as otherwise authorized by law, any person who willfully discharges a firearm in a grossly negligent manner which could result in injury or death to a person is guilty of a public offense and shall be punished by imprisonment in a county jail not exceeding one year, or by imprisonment pursuant to subdivision (h) of Section 1170.

Potentially a crime. I suppose there could be an argument to be made that it wasn't intentional. Secondarily, the officer who was shot probably won't want to seek criminal prosecution as he started this nonsense.

Something tells me this isn't the first time those dumbshits have done this.

Something that really gave me pause, and help me to rewire my brain for the better, was a statement that our instructor made before we started the action pistol class.

" Once you've successfully completed this training, and the test afterwards, any unintended discharge that you have can no longer be considered an accident. You've been given all the training that you need, and you've proved that you absorbed the training, to prevent an accidental discharge. Accidents happen with untrained people, negligence is a result of trained people doing something wrong"

The one responding to the first gun may not have been able to identify who was holding it
because of window tint and because it looks like an outside lot with potential glare. So his lawyer might claim. Put at least the first horse out to pasture to play anyway. Happy that no one died but play stupid games, sumpin sumpin
