post a *PIC* of your latest purchase (can be anything as long as you purchased it)

Looks amazingly modern for a 26 year old bike. We haven’t advanced all that much in two and a half decades.
Go in the other direction 26 years to 1973 and see how far bikes have advanced from then to 1999.
We probably hit peak bike design somewhere in the late 2000’s. They’re not getting any lighter or much faster.

Used. Found at Seawood photo. At a very reasonable price.

I’m actually a manual lens kinda guy. Either vintage lenses or full manual cine lenses.
Not that I wanted autofocus, but I wanted wether sealed lens(es), for rainy day shooting.

So I tried to make an image that would look like a scene from 1981 Michael Mann film “THIEF”, last night.

Did you get it?
"i" created by the red light and the reflection on the wet asphalt.

Still learning how to use AF. For what I do, manual focus is definitely quicker and easier. (Especially with SL2-S’s viewfinder.)

Love that first red light photo.
Thanks. Yeah, it's my favorite from that night.
And, during the daytime, the fine weather day, this intersection is so boring (typical Marin county suburban street), you wouldn't think it's worth taking a photo or video.
Rain and the night, and tighter focal length lens magically transform this spot into something worth taking photos.

I bought a box of, "Damn! This is going to be a bunch of work"

(Oil cooler seals, and minor turbo upgrade for my diesel Jeep)

You take some really neat shots. Keep posting as you take them.

mewcer. 🤭

congrats on the new kitty. 😍

We got one of those for our kitty. Nice collar, filled out all the info.

The collar lasted about 15m. We found it under the bed.

We have one photo with her wearing it from 10 years ago.
