post a *PIC* of your latest purchase (can be anything as long as you purchased it)

I don't have a pic yet but today was my 25th wedding anniversary. My wife's wedding ring broke quite a few years ago and she has been wanting to get it fixed. I am the worst at remembering to do stuff so that explains the years of her waiting for me to get it fixed so I decided today was the day. So my wife has been telling me all these years that getting her ring fixed will be expensive so I was like okay then if its too much to fix then why don't you just pick a new set. If ya'll know my wife she is very sentimental about stuff so that was not her optimal outcome but she was like okay let's see. So I took here to the mall to look at one of the chain stores and turns out the malls don't open until 11am anymore. WTF??? So seeing as it was 10am when we got there I was like Google to the rescue. We found a small local store a little bit away and so I said lets go hit that store for a bit and we can come back here later and see if they have anything. We walk in the place was pretty nice and the girl came over to help us out. We asked about fixing the ring and she said sure they could do it but couldn't get a price for a bit. I was like how long because we are looking to either fix or replace today. So while she was writing stuff up my wife started to browse the selection they had and while she did that for a bit the girl came back and said the owner had taken a look and said $275. I had to ask again and she said again $275. I looked at my wife and saw that was what she wanted to do, I was kind of hoping she would want a new one as when we got married I was pretty poor and it was not the best thing by far but being who she is she wanted that ring so we told them to go ahead and fix it and resize.

So as we were walking out and we got to the car I said babe how about we get the ring fixed but we get a better stone one that's a lot more sparkly. She said well lets see what they have so we went back in and talked to the same salesperson and she went and got some loose stones that were the same cut and of a size that would fit the setting. So she looked at a few and picked a higher grade diamond that's about a half carat bigger and way more sparkly. While I was paying the piper for the new rock she was perusing some men's wedding bands and found one we both liked as I am not really a gold person and my original wedding band is gold but the one she found is black with a pattern that looks kind of celtic/renaissance vibe. So it was a win-win day for us and just wanted to share. Will post a pic when it is all done in about 2 weeks. In the immortal words of Ice Cube Today was a Good Day.

small advice on the PRL install. You should use the 2 included hex screws, instead of the OEM screws on the front of the airbox. The PRL screws are slightly bigger and wider as to put less stress on the box as it does move a bit during driving. Also I you can put a dab of RTV on each of the MAF to airbox screws as they are known to back off (one of mine fell off even though I have the new updated longer screws from PRL)

Bought new donuts for the car. Sprung for the mobile installation!

For those that care; Conti Extreme Contact Sport 02s. I am not a fan of Michelin PS4S on this car.

Looking thru the magazines,
This looked interesting, 100 year anny, and all.
I thumbed thru it, starting with Beale, 38th parallel, and camels, , ,
Before Route 66, was paved, for "The Grapes of Wrath"
I bought it.

That sounds interesting!

Wyatt Earp is famous for Dodge City and Tombstone, but he and his family have a lot of history down here in San Bernardino.

And when he wasn't spending time in SB, he was out living in (now named) Earp, CA.

It just amazes me where folks would live back in the day. Apparently he did a lot of mining.

Just bought this '06 Laguna Blue Pearl S2000 from a friend of a friend!
Nice.

Found one for my nephew a number of year back and he loves it.

I drove it and loved it as well.

Far more sophisticated than my 94 Miata of course.

Drove the new rig around the edge of the pond that is about a 6 ft wide bank, hooked up the winch to the tree and dragged it onto the shore, in about six different pieces.
Took all day to pull it on shore, chop up all the branches and cut everything into rounds and clean out the pond via canoe.
Next step is to haul it all out of there because I just left it all sitting on the side of the pond yesterday

New shift knob, slightly taller and nice and round.

Looks like I need to pull the mats and knock some detritus off.

But I probably won't. :laughing
