Sounds like a nice convenience for you :thumbup

Between the space limitations of our kitchen, and general cooking needs, a rice cooker doesn't fit the bill.
Make room. Rice cooker is way better than cooking in a pot.
Even my white MIL moved from cooking in a pot to a rice cooker. She even rinse the rice now three times and doesn't even use a measuring cup for the water. Just her finger. #AsianWay

I cover the rice so the water is like 1/2" over then boil it down before lowering the heat and put the lid on. Also, don't forget to salt the damn water

Grabbed it while I was there on Sunday.

Somewhat related to the post above...

Vintage Canon FD 300mm f2.8 “L”. (From Seawood photo in San Rafael. Support your local business.)

I knew it’s going to rain.
But, I had to try it outside.
Took it with me, went to my friend’s workshop to get my MacBookPro repaired.

On the way back home, I stopped and tried quick test shots.

Shot entirely yesterday.

Sure enough, it started raining, but I did take some photos and video.

By the time I returned home, it was raining heavily.

I decided to do some “focus breathing” test.
It does breath, but, because out of focus area goes complete blur very quickly once point of focus moves away, it’s less obvious, then, say…50mmf1.4. (I think. I need to try outside, when the weather is good.)
You can see the set up in the video, including how I recorded “rain drop” sound.

I can shoot still photos handheld.
But, it makes focusing a little bit more difficult because the image in the view finder keeps shaking.

For video, I need a mono-pod or tripod.

I had the iPhone Air for 10-days...as much as I loved how thin it was, the smaller battery was too much of a compromise. Got the 17 Pro Max.

Weird that Nikon doesn’t seal their boxes for lenses or cameras. You can’t be certain you’re getting a brand new product or something that’s been used and returned.
However it does provide an opportunity to pull the product out of the box and inspect or test before buying, for whatever that’s worth.

:) Speaking of guitar lessons...

Friend gave me a guitar for Christmas long ago.

I plinked about with it but could never make it do, well, anything.

Turns out I was holding the strings ON the frets, not between them. Do that, and you get no joy.

"What kind of idiot can't figure out a guitar?" Me! This kind!

About 160' of irrigation pipe, and a bunch of fittings.
There will be more purchases related to this... FML. lol.
(I'm completely changing the layout of the backyard in the house we bought 4 years ago)
