Rode the ZX6R today, didn't push it but still had fun. Watched highlights from the MotoAmerica races on youtube.
 
Overnight lows in the high sixties here for the next few days.
I have the house fan on right meow trying to capture as much cool air for the attic as I can since it didn't cool down much last night

Now my daughter and her husband are as well.

Such an obvious no brainer for our climate.
 
Good Morning all.

In a big high school buddy text string. Our 50th is coming up August 1.

Found that one of my best HS buds is homeless up in WA.
So bums me out... but after high school we came to the corner of drugs and school.
He chose drugs along with another couple. The two others are gone.. and hearing Dave is outdoors breaks my heart.

I was lucky to have moto's dominate my world and all those drugs were bad for winning crappy plastic trophies so I had a different path.

So the day sort of sucks. :(

Yeah, I hung with the wrong crowd in high school. Lost a few friends to drugs, some are still lost
. I don't know what makes us avoid that life, I was headed there myself, but got tired of feeling like shit. Sorry Dennis
 
Thanks Mike. Is what it is at this point.

Part of me wants to go search for him, but that is not real given life ya know. Thinking about what I might find is scary too. :(
 
I suppose my unfortunately crappy years before and during high school kept me pretty focused and clear so the drugs were in my 20s and only recreational. Tgey represent a very brief blip in time. Gen Jones either went there or it didn't.

Coffee consumed and the arduous task of unwinding my back begins. Then it's time to put Yep away until next time :cry
Think I'll sit and practice my ukulele.
 
Up, caffeinating, another day at work. I slept like crap last night, so I'll be looking forward to getting off work and coming home to do nothing at all.

On Friday's North Novato trail ride we visited my dead friend who couldn't kick the meth despite claiming otherwise.

Super nice guy but wouldn't listen to advice, of course.
