I have a 10:30 appt with my primary care physician to check out my totally numb right hand. I'm sure it will be a waste of time, other than getting a referral to someone else. I'd probably be better off to smack it with a sledgehammer and go to the ER.

I get that.

Big topic in therapy is the struggle with reaching out to people. Part based on a self esteem issue of not feeling worth it, part struggling with the feeling that I'm the only one to make the effort, and part feeling like a burden if I did because my problems are so minor in comparison to some.

I don't have solutions, I'm just a screenname on barf and an asshole at that, I just know that Michael Jackson said that you have to take a look at the mirror and make that change.

I can't vent to y'all and expect you to listen if I don't offer to listen as well. I'd koimother you but... You may not be there yet lulz

Upvoted only because i agree... sometimes I feel that way, too, dammit, the main PCP cannot do anything, for issues that actually are pretty bad for the person. (So, one just ends up wasting 15 min + travel + money)

Currently wondering what how and when to schedule such appointment for my painful lower back with ...who?!? 🤔
