Good move on the vest for big water. Don't know how long she likes to swim but if it's for longer periods, consider water temps. It's easy to forget when a dog has incredible desire to dive in. You and I would puss out if it were too cold, dogs just get it done and hypothermia is a real thing for them. That vest will help.

On my labrador that hunts, he often has to break ice late in the season up in the Sac Valley. He would never miss a beat. We run them in neoprene vest with floatation cells.
