2021 Africa Twin.Whacked a pothole at 80 mph now have vibration in front end enough to vibrate the mirrors over 70mph. Gonna change the front tire in case I broke a belt or something. The wheel is out of true maybe 3/16 or so. made an attempt to true it. Discovered it's not my skill. Any recommendations for a local (Bay Area) place than can true wheels?

There used to be a guy on McKee…East San Ho. somebody Kelly. Pandemic tho. Old school. Prolly good. I’ll see what I can find.

Wheel Works in Hayward

went to Wheel Works today guys a character who knows his stuff but he said he can't do it his explanation kinda didn't make sense but whatever.
It's a tubeless spoked wheel copy of the BMW design. I got it sorta close
but needs a pro to tune it in. Put a new tire on, I'll go for a test ride tomorrow. if it still vibrates, I guess I get to drop a thousand on a new front wheel assembly

Dang, good to kind of know. Wonder what the deal is with that wheel. . .

Kelly Moss is no longer in business

I used wheel works in hayward in April. Good work for what I needed.

They are not local but Woody's has a strong reputation in the BMW ADV world for building, rebuilding and repairing tubeless moto rims.

Wheel Works actually said Buchanan's might be able to do the work. Woody's probably since they seem to know how to work on the BMW design tubeless spoke rim. The rim is bulging out in two of the holes on the outer lip like the spoke is pulling through. New Honda factory rim-$300 , spoke kit - $250 , plus someone to assemble $200? = 700+.
New wheel assembly including hub, bearings and spacers $950. Kind of a no brainer to me.

Kelly retired! But not before he re-spoked my BMW 1200GS wheel.

Wheel builders are far and few between! Santa Clara Cycle has a really good builder that we sub contract our wheel services to, but that wheel design ( BMW style ) is even more specialized that most. I’m afraid Woodys would be the only place that I would know of to repair that style of wheel.
