Scooter waving

Ok we have all seen the thread about what to do if you accidentally wave to scooters but my question is what to do if they wave to you first? I feel very conflicted, I want to recognize my two wheeled brethren but damn its a scooter......

sometimes I get waves in return.

I make a point to wave to kids with their moms walking down the residential area on the way to my house. Some of the kids get so excited and give me the biggest wave/smile back its great.

No scooters! They aren't much different than the obnoxious rascals in the grocery stores which run over your feet in the frozen foods section. Too many stupid encounters, especially in the city, with those annoying scooterists.
