So Who Rode in Today?

Some days it seems like I could drive my truck down the white lines, some days I have to slowly wobble through the tight maze.

I rode in today.
I just got back from a 14 day, epic riding adventure with my 20 year old grandson.
14 days total. 12 riding days, 4272 miles, 2 sets of tires and a bent rim.
Pics and story to come, in it's own thread. Just as soon as my ass recovers.

You rode like a girl. Great job!

It seems to be happening more and more.
Maybe I'm 'transitioning'?

I came around a corner last week to find one lone turkey on the side of the road. I let out a turkey gobble that was one for the ages. I swear he looked at me :laughing

Work is what I do between motorcycle rides :ride

I really love that I cannot remember most of the commute that I just had. I'm pretty sure that I pissed someone off and I made someone else happy.

I do take note and remember the weather, and the magnificent views that I get to enjoy. The overcast and 65°ish temps were a delight and today I paced an Oakland City cop on the freeway, just because it felt like a nice thing to do rather than just passing him up. He responded by creating a really large space behind me (y)

There was a dead deer, a bad pass, and an accident around this curve - I'll spare you the details...

Earwig - you can do magic

Rode in to the office today.

At about 8:15, on the 91, it was 86 deg according to the bike thermometer. Few minutes later, at the top of the 241 toll road, it was 90.

Typically transition over from the 91 down into Irvine, the temperature does not go up.

Head home, it was 101 in Newport Beach. By the time I got back to the 91, and this was about 2:30, it was 106.

108 through Corona, back down to 106 and 104 when I finally hit home.

Just plain hot.

"Hey, it's a dry heat!"

Yet, is surely was.

This is probably the warmest I've ridden in. I don't think it was this hot crossing to Las Vegas in July, years ago. It was just over an hour overall, the gear worked, the vents worked. Felt fine.

But it's been a Hotober so far this year.

I didn’t see anything under 100f for most all the ride home. Was a bit warm in the black aerostich. Decided to get gas this morning instead :laughing

Having the love hate with the new tire. Thinking of taking the disc sander to them chicken strips.

Sure did….

At least the TPMS did its job and notified me at ~22psi…. Or so (I wonder if I can get it set to 29 for commuting)
