Me too. Met him by chance at COTA when he and Anthony Alonso were in Red Bull Rookies Cup twelve years ago. We all shared a big tent, food etc..

He was a super friendly energetic 15 year old that made me smile. Nice kid.

Just dealing with my own leg and then seeing what he had to go thru to get back to competitive is impressive dedication. Saw the vid on his journey. Makes me jealous of how awesome his PT was. Medicare is not the same as Team Aprilia. :laughing

He was right at the front back then and it
was the same today. Really good to see.

He should have a bit more extra juice tomorrow and with Bez, Digi, Pecco, Marc and….. gonna be good.

After R1 I had expectations of a really entertaining year because of the Aprilia being so strong. A bit of "Will it still be mighty at other tracks?" has been answered and hell yeah. GAME ON!!
 
I would sure love to buy a VR46 COTA livery shirt. Come on Doc... line us up!!

EDIT: Reached out to a friend in attendance. He says they have them and will pick one up for me. :cool

That is cool, but the only size they have is M, but it appears you can get notified. Hopefully that will happen.. and hopefully my bud is successful grabbing on before they sell out.

Not sure if they have the collared version at COTA, but those look killa!

Pedro is super good.. Very cool to see a more mature and confident racer enjoying life as a GP star. More good juju for Martin.

The Japanese kid is very good, but really bad luck for Ai.... he should be fighting for the points lead.

4th is the best Ducati could do at COTA?? And that is because Ogura had a mechanical. My my things are changing.

Nice to see the Beast dicing it up with the Factory Ducs. Some nice work there.

Pecco does not look like all hope is lost... but he did fade.
Frankie though... He can beat the Yamaha's, but he is sucking wind.

Marini gave Honda a top 10.

And what a gut punch for Ogura.. I bet he would have been on the podium of not for whatever mechanical hit him. Now to get his qualifying and 1st laps stronger.

And Digi! Not backing down to the Marquez.. he's becoming my new favorite Ducati rider. Especially, just a few short years ago, he didn't have ride.

Toprak was first Yamaha, beating Fabio even. Earned his first MotoGP point with a 15th place finish I believe...
