I hope this will not affect us.

OHV Community Feeling the Impacts of the Seasonal Hiring Freeze

The U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management have been underfunded for decades and rely heavily on seasonal and temporary workers to provide many essential services to support recreation

Ya, like close the area because there isn't anyone to make sure everyone paid thier fees?

maybe we have to haul out our trash and clean the bathroom? fees are largely paid online, me thinks. Ours are.

Maybe we can all bring a few toilet papers and carry out our trash as you said, Butch. If it’s daytime when I arrive I’ll try and stop and the ranger office to inquire about stuff

Oh man... so sorry to hear about Cathy.
Heal well and keep rockin that smile!

I hope to make yet another StonyBARF. #20
Once again I'll probably try to get there the weekend before this event and camp somewhere close. Then move into the group area ASAP. (before Thursday in the past)
Not sure what bike(s) I'll bring this time.

Im in. Picked up a pair of CRF300Ls. Looking forward to joining in on an ADV ride in the forest. No more f’ing around with old bikes and 🤞 we don’t seize one on the trail. 😆

I don't have a dirt capable bike, but I need to practice moto camping. I have a September road trip that will require a night or two in a campground and I havent thrown down my tent in a few years. Is the last night of Stonybarf a good candidate? Like is there a high likelihood of campfire socializing and a low likelihood of getting eaten by a bear?

my wife (@cary ) has joined us at a StonyBARF in the past on her streetbike--it's paved all the way to the group campsite. some kind person even let her use a dirtbike while she was with us, otherwise enjoying the social scene and colossal campfire.

I've yet to see a bear in Fouts Springs itself, but there's always a first time. :laughing :angel

would be fun to see you camping off your electric motorcycle! :thumbup

Same, but I've seen scat just outside of Davis Flat headed north

And also a few miles north of Davis Flat on Forrest Rte 18N03

But I don't think they like motorcycles so they stay out of the camping areas. They've also been spotted further up in the forrest on one ride I was on, but I missed it.

Also saw a Rattle Snake between Davis and North Fork
