I've cleared my Saturday, and turned down an invitation to watch todays race with some folks. I'm too stoked about todays race.... and cant have ANY distractions. 1 point seperating Hunter and Ken! Just over four hours to go. Enough time to make some swedish meatballs, french onion dip for chips, turn off my phone, and pull the shades. Settling in to Race Day live!

Three races left.... and Kickstart Kenny winning a championship would be an epic memory. That said, I like Hunter too..... and few other than Kenny more deserving. Both have had journeys to get to this point.

Super difficult track. Rut row.

Kenny just made it look just hard cause at times it looked near impossible. Great job.

Some other ups. Joey’s heat win with Barcia back in a big way. Justin Hill still finding some magic.

Congrats though the man from NZ and Yamaha on a solid year. East Champ.

The video message from his wife Courtney was pretty awesome. Motorcycle racers pay one hell of a price to win a championship and her respectful and special words had some deep feels. Loved it.

Barf is never far from the center of the universe, even on TV! I believe a Barf member was inches from the Champion tonight after the race. Or at least I think this OMC member is also a Barf member.

That was a shocking turn of events. Never thought that would be the result. Hunter is a class act.

Hunter is a good dude, genuinely enjoyed following him. I must admit though, after he took out Roczen in Seattle... I was ready to light the fire to burn him at the stake for about 24hrs.

Total racing incident, but I was rooting for the mature adults in the room of Tomac, Webb, or Roczen for the Championship.

Speaking of the mature adults in the room......... only FOUR riders under 30 years old within the final top 20 Championship points standings.

When I was young, a Pro at 22 was a seasoned veteran, retiring by the time they were 25 if they stretched it, and ready for the old folks home after. When Hannah came back on HRC Honda in 1983 at age 26, I thought he was crazy. Go play some golf, drive his Ferrari, fly his plane... just maybe give up the water skiiing with Marty.

It is not like MotoGP where gear, track modifications and electronics have made a big impact.

So…. Training, medical care and ????
I was not paying attention to how many OG’s we had on the 450 grid.
