SX 2024 / 2025 - Spoilers possible

was fun watching Mr Cowboy being congratulated by his fellow competitors right after he took the checkered flag. :angel

Levels the playing field for sure.

Jett is still FAF. I have to keep an eye out on the cocky punk part :laughing

Agree, Jason Anderson was racing him hard in the battle for 4th/5th and Jett seemed to believe he was “entitled” to an easy pass. The post race altercation left no doubt what Jason thought of his childish tantrum.

Welcome to the 450’s Jett. :laughing

I saw that words happening on the show. Did not look like a friendly nice race deal :laughing

Have to catch up that one. Jason will be a great nemesis if he can get the starts.

A-2 delivered!!! :banana

Some great racing!! I do enjoy the frantic nature of the triple crown format. Sexton wins!! El hombre wins!! Tomac wins!!!! But Webb is the winner!!!

250’s was great too but Kitchen as the most bitchen.

Points close for sure. AP showed some good speed and still has the red plate. 10 points separate 9 million dudes so game on.

EDIT: CYCLE NEWS ARTICLE[

Finally got to watch the races tonight.

Swoll manned up after a crash in both his heat and the main. Props to Triumph.

Nice to see Forkner rock with a win. So many top player left in the dirt in T1.

450’s.
Eli :wtf

Webb and Plessinger both some damage control.
Roczen a great ride and a solid podium :thumbup
Sexton with a second and the points lead over the #18 Honda.

4 guys within 6 points. Whehoo!!

^^:thumbup

some “balls out” racing … :facepalm:laughing

enjoyed this post-race stuff:

Texas was tough....... Just starting to believe Forkner could do it. :wow L3 and L4 fracture + shoulder. Seriously bummed for him.

Fell asleep, literally, in the 450 race, thinking Jett was running away with it. Thankfully woke up for the final five minutes. Tomacs charge! :party Jett going down, allowing Webb to take the win.. and Tomac and AP pass Jett on the ground. Great final five minutes of racing. :applause

Would have liked to see what Mookie could have done... he was really moving up through the field after a tough start to the race. Looked great in the Semi giving Jett all he could. Sexton's hand/wrist must be bothering he him more than he is letting on.

Race for the Championship after 7 rounds is still close. :thumbup

POS. # NAME
1 18 Jett Lawrence 135
2 2 Cooper Webb 132
3 7 Aaron Plessinger128
4 1 Chase Sexton 127
5 3 Eli Tomac 122
6 21 Jason Anderson 118
7 94 Ken Roczen 116
8 14 Dylan Ferrandis 93
9 96 Hunter Lawrence 86
10 32 Justin Cooper 75

Bummed for Forkner.. damn. He was really riding well and fast as F.

The races were great.. fun track that made for some oh boy moments.
Jett had them covered and screwed up. I am OK with that because it kept the points close.

Tomac was in Beast mode.. so good to see. :thumbup

Webb is the dog that does not go away. Nice ride and Texas is sure good to him. The Cowboy had a good night. He is always fun on the podium...!

Mookie rode good.. looked fast and.. : |

Hunter's best 450 race so far.

Daytona has been Tomac turf. A win could cut the points gap and I am hoping we see that.

The SX legends break down Forkners crash.. he hit hard as hell! Heal up kid.

Today we go to Tomac's House.

Eli has dominated Daytona. A win will bring him closer to Jett no matter where he finishes. He has not been off the podium in 9 straight years and won most of those.

Good point about Sexton. I am willing to get you are right.

Looking forward to a great show!

Always need to shout out local Privateer hero Ricky Ryan when we get to Daytona.
After spending a lot of Thursday nights and weekends watching him it was pure delight to watch him win Daytona.

:thumbup :applause I hadn't remembered Ricky Ryan. Only true privateer to ever win a Supercross, and a local to boot. Nice "Where are they now" article in RacerX on Ricky.

Was hoping Eli would put a stamp on Daytona as his house last night. 2nd ain't bad all... but I think they (Eli, Webb, Sexton or anyone) need to rough up young Jett early on to keep him from seeing clear track. As much as I think Jett is learning to race Supercross on the 450's, the top guys are also just learning how they need to race him. He's good, really good... but still think there are 4 or 5 guys who can win the 450 Championship.

Also wondering if Sexton's injury has healed as well as he says it has in interviews, and if we might not see some more speed out of him as the season progresses. I suspect we will see better out of Cooper Webb as we head back into the tighter more traditional tracks on the east coast where he always seems to thrive. :thumbup

Edit: on a side note, been interesting reading some of the rumors and pics shared of Sexton's forks. It appears he is racing on some KYB conversion forks for WP, not KTM's WP forks. Something Cooper Webb wanted while at KTM if I remember correctly (and wasn't allowed.) If nothing else, it might indicate KTM's commitment to Sexton to actually let him run those KYBs.

What a brutal track and them boys that ride it are all bad ass.

I think the Sexton being able to practice made a big difference and it showed. For a bit I thought he could pull it off.

Jett Jett Jett.. fucking fast as a Jett. :hail

For some reason when the race was nearing the end I felt like we were seeing the true levels of of how the grid stacks in the results. I would call the top 5 riders just in the same order as they finished.

Did not know about the forks thing. Very interesting. I expect Eli and Chase to battle Jett for the rest of the season and Cooper and Roxen to take their shots too. You never know the they put it all together and Webber is tenacious as F.

FUN STUFF! :thumbup

Dude showed some superhuman tricks in that vid. Kenny was awesome.

Here are the extended highlight for those that may have missed the race.

And... we have a race for the Championship again in the 450s after this past weekend! :party Jett and Webb tied up in points with only four races to go... and Sexton hovering only 15 points back.

Both coasts are close in the 250 races.... and have a PC Kawi leading them. Hard to believe after so many years of dominating the class, that Mitch Payton hasnt had a Supercross Champion since 2017. Justin Hill, the younger of the brothers from Oregon. :wow

Both Kitchen and Whackadoo are looking strong... hopefully Mcadoo keeps his pants on these last few rounds. :laughing

That was a good race on a challenging track!!. Webb is quite persistant! :thumbup

Tied up and it can swing anyway given the nature of the sport.

El Hombre did a nice job with Jett. Pretty cool.
Hunter is starting to hit his stride and is looking pretty solid. I was hoping Tomac would shine. He sure does have the fan support.

Cooper still solid.. nice bounce back.

250's are fun and next round we mix 'em up!

Wow... huge shake up in both of the 250 Championship points races. If ever there was a going to be a time.... I really though Pro Circuit Kawasaki team owner Mitch Payton would get up from his wheel chair to stand and curse God, Saturday. If not for bad luck, PC Kawi would have no luck. 2017 is long time since the last championship, for such a dominating team.

The two leaders from each coast, both PC Kawi riders, took each other out in the first lap of the main. :wow McAdoo never recovered and out of the Championship points race. Levi Kitchen raced from last place on the ground, forward enough to 14th place. Leaves him 2 points behind the race winner and new leader in points chase Hampshire, with two races to go for the West Coast riders. 14th place may seem unimpressive, but considering this was an East West Shootout with the best riders from each coast, AND a track that was as slick as wet pavement.. I'd call it an impressive charge. Rare to see a dry track so slick. Few folks were making passes.

Bring on Philly this weekend! :party

Agree on Payton :laughing :thumbup

Kitchen did a great job.

Such a bummer for both Roczen and Sexton.. mechanicals that put you on the ground suck. Sexton is OK luckily and Ken is doing MRI's but he is banged up pretty good and his return is TBD.

Tomac looked great but Jett had the better line catching some lappers and that was it. Cooper did what he could and kept the championship close with his 3rd.

Not a big fan of the track compared to the last few.
