Nicely done video, easy to see they segments they had to/are chasing. 10mm too. Pour a cup of joe, its a bit long but you won't look away.

I liked this line:
Everyone wants to argue calibers and gun type. Very few people want to argue the projectile. You ask every policeman in the country who's attended an autopsy, we don't go pull pistols out of people. We pull bullets out of people. We've got to start having a conversation about projectile and not all these other aspects that go to it.

The modern 9mm rounds have certainly changed the game.

Really good video.

Not just any 9, but 135-147 grain. On top of that, I believe their general findings apply more to a special population of users (FBI) and their likely scenarios.

Granted. However, on the whole, I think its a reasonable projection that the FBI has more lethal force encounters (gratefully) than I do, and deferring "what pistol cartridge to bring to a gunfight" to the FBI cognoscenti is likely not a bad choice to make.

Baseline, they mentioned that the law enforcement line of 9mm cartridges are all comparable. Googling shows that FBI itself uses the Hornady Critical Duty 9mm+P 135 gr FTX

Agreed. As implied, there are also many LEO's using the Fed HST (as do I). I have other defense ammo and would use that without a lot of thought, but ya gotta pick one I guess. No need to inventory multi defense ammo brands, they sure seem to magically appear in the safe...when they used to be on "Sale" (old guys remember those days). I got a couple boxes of Black Talons from what- 20 years ago?

Cliff notes: The FBI’s move back to 9mm wasn’t about “stopping power.” It was based on lower training and lifecycle costs, the modern 9mm ammunition achieving comparable penetration and expansion to .40 S&W under FBI test protocols, and improved shooter performance due to reduced recoil. Both calibers are good. IMO proficiency and training matter more than caliber choice.

well good thing I was ahead of the curve and stocked up on 9mm pistols and rifles. Plenty of good HP ammo in the safe also. Funny thing I was looking for subs for the 9mm SBR and got a screaming deal on Federal HST 147gr something like 50cents a round. couple of us down here went in on bunch and split them up.
