The Moto Social, San Francisco—Tues, 04/21/2026, 7pm -9pm

You guys throw a great party

I'll be there hopefully :dunno

S'posed to be raining most of the day Monday and Tuesday.

Ours is a fickle Lord.

a fair trade for this year’s Easter Sunrise ride … :thumbup :laughing

Easter will be rained out one of these years, soon, no doubt (I don’t do that Mt Tam ride in the rain, anymore). we’ve been lucky in that regard for a long time, recently. :angel

in any event, unlike Easter, a Moto Social is susceptible to being postponed for weather, like they did for this year’s Washington High School Auto Show. I’ll know more about that possibility, after tonight’s SFMC meeting. :ride

Excellent.
I could see talking myself into taking the adv to the city if it's dry, but it's definitely too soon for wet weather riding.

It's on my calendar, let's see if I feel up to the ride on Tuesday after work or not. :D

it occurred to me that because it isn't the Moto Social people's first rodeo, and since they do a lot of events in places where it actually rains, that they may have a policy for weather related eventualities. so I AI'd it:

"Policy: Rain or shine.
"The Moto Social San Francisco events typically operate on a "rain or shine" basis. The community gatherings continue regardless of weather conditions, and they encourage riders to attend even if it is raining."

and there ya go ... guess that's the answer for lightweights like me who worry about rain. I was rooting for "rain cancels." (I wuz roundly mocked for being a little-boy man for bringing the weather issue up this am on the SFMC email list) :facepalm :laughing

men are delicate.

It is dry in the clubhouse, cuz we replace the roof when it starts leaking. :angel

We also have a plan to have an easy up over the BBQ and hot dog grills out on the sidewalk. 🥳
